melina flowers is a queer writer, maker, mender, gardener, baker, dog-mom and aspiring librarian living in Henderson, Kentucky.

After acquiring their BFA in Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design, they interned with the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology and completed the Independent Publishing Resource Center’s Certificate Program in Poetry in Portland, OR.

Working with local grassroots mending projects, they became a vocal advocate for racial justice, queer rights, and accessibility. Their work explores themes of identity, placemaking and personal ritual, interwoven with heritage craft and folk magic.

Their work has been exhibited in group shows in the United States, France, and Egypt. They want to bake their cake and eat it, too.
