Finally getting around to collecting my various web presences and personas into one place. Piecing together the quilt of my artistic journey and how I’ve shared it with the world over the years is an ongoing exercise in transparency and editing.
I doubt that anyone is particularly proud of everything they’ve posted to the internet–especially those of us who grew up on it. The raw and sometimes cringe-inducing authenticity of our younger selves serves as a bittersweet reminder of how much we’ve grown, not just as artists, but as people.
Still, even if only for myself to look back on, there’s a part of me that yearns for a true archive of myself. Maybe due to my own memory problems, it’s comforting to think I can scroll through my journeys, making the passage of time into something more tangible.
I’ve been an active tumblr user for almost seven years now, and as I finally move away from the platform I’m trying to gather the scattered pieces of myself I’ve left there along the way.
This series of posts (Collecting Myself) will be the catalogue of those crumbs.

“Some of my photos from while I was in Lacoste. I especially love the bottom one of my friend Carlos. Also, this was the first time that I developed my own film! WOO! The only thing is that I had a lot of issues with scanning…” (12.14.2012)
“A couple more photos from France–the one on the bottom was a happy accident when scanning, but I kinda like it, so I left it that way!” (12.15.2012)
